Although they both collaborated with others, their work together produced many hits, including: Embraceable You,  A Foggy Day, I Got Rhythm, Our Love Is Here to Stay, Let’s Call the Whole Thing Off,  ‘S Wonderful, Someone to Watch Over Me and many more. A Tribute to Ira & George Gershwin explores these and other songs, as well as anecdotes surrounding their lives and work.

A concerted effort was made to boost morale, both here at home and abroad. Canteen Treasures showcases songs of the era that were used to lift the spirits of our troops and those at home who were being encouraged to support the war efforts.

Tribute to Harold Arlen

Harold Arlen wrote over 400 songs and partnered with some great lyricists – Ted Koehler, Johnny Mercer, Jimmy Van Heusen, Ira Gershwin. Some of his memorable songs in this show include:  Get Happy, It’s Only a Paper Moon, Stormy Weather,  Come Rain or Come Shine, I’ve Got the World on a String, Blues in the Night, That Old Black Magic,  My Shining Hour, Ac-Cent-Tchu-Ate the Positive, and Over the Rainbow.
