Jazz Saxophone Masters of the 1940s & 50s

Jazz Saxophone Masters of the 1940s & 50s is a tribute to some of the greatest jazz saxophonists of our time, during an era when jazz was still a part of our mainstream popular culture.

Jim Clark and his quartet will perform songs by: Sidney Bechet, Coleman Hawkins, Johnny Hodges, Ben Webster, Lester Young, Don Byas, Charlie Parker, Dexter Gordon, Paul Desmond, Sonny Stitt, Gene Ammons, Hank Mobley, John Coltrane, Stan Getz, Gerry Mulligan, Cannonball Adderley, Sonny Rollins.  Jim will not only play from their repertoire, but also explain how each of these saxophone giants has made a unique contribution to the world of jazz.
Run time 90 min., but can be shortened or lengthened if needed.
